About me
Empecé en esto cuando instalar un sistema operativo requería varios disquetes y mucha paciencia. Aprendí en entornos reales, con infraestructura real, donde si algo fallaba no había helpdesk al que llamar — eras tú el helpdesk.
Durante veinte años fui el único responsable de toda la tecnología de una empresa financiera. Sistemas, redes, seguridad, comunicaciones, soporte, virtualización, backups. Todo. Eso te enseña a resolver problemas rápido, a anticipar fallos y — sobre todo — a entender que la tecnología existe para que las personas puedan trabajar sin pensar en ella.
En algún momento descubrí que lo que más me gustaba no era arreglar servidores. Era explicar por qué importaba arreglarlos. Sentarme con alguien que no sabe lo que es un firewall y conseguir que entendiera exactamente qué estábamos protegiendo y por qué valía la pena.
Eso me llevó a formarme en oratoria y storytelling. A competir en Toastmasters International — y quedar entre los 9 mejores oradores de España en 2026. A escribir y dirigir teatro en los Teatros del Canal de Madrid. A construir pipelines con IA para automatizar análisis de documentos. Y a descubrir que hay un nombre para ese rol que llevo haciendo toda la vida: Technical Evangelist.
I got into this when installing an operating system meant loading multiple floppy disks and being very patient. I learned in real environments, with real infrastructure, where if something broke there was no helpdesk to call — you were the helpdesk.
For twenty years I was the sole person responsible for all technology in a financial company. Systems, networks, security, communications, support, virtualization, backups. Everything. That teaches you to solve problems fast, to anticipate failures and — above all — to understand that technology exists so people can work without thinking about it.
At some point I realized what I enjoyed most wasn't fixing servers. It was explaining why it mattered to fix them. Sitting with someone who doesn't know what a firewall is and getting them to understand exactly what we were protecting and why it was worth it.
That led me to train in public speaking and storytelling. To compete in Toastmasters International — and place in the top 9 speakers in Spain in 2026. To write and direct theater at Teatros del Canal in Madrid. To build AI pipelines that automate document analysis. And to discover there's a name for the role I've been playing my whole career: Technical Evangelist.

Gestioné la migración completa al teletrabajo: comunicación del cambio, formación a usuarios y resolución en tiempo real. Presenté y justifiqué inversiones tecnológicas ante dirección no técnica. Escalé la infraestructura de ~20 a ~50 usuarios sin incremento de personal IT.
Twenty years as, literally, the entire IT department of a financial company. The real role was far more than infrastructure: translating complex technical decisions into business language for management and users.
Managed the complete migration to remote work: change communication, user training, and real-time problem resolution. Presented and justified technology investments to non-technical management. Scaled infrastructure from ~20 to ~50 users with no increase in IT staff.

Veinticinco años resolviendo incidencias me han enseñado algo que no viene en ningún manual: la mayoría de los problemas técnicos tienen solución técnica obvia. Lo difícil es conseguir que la persona adecuada lo entienda, lo apruebe y le dé prioridad.
Por eso me formé en oratoria. Por eso dirijo teatro. Por eso compito en Toastmasters. La tecnología sin comunicación es ruido. La comunicación sin tecnología es humo. Yo trabajo en el punto donde se encuentran.
Twenty-five years resolving incidents has taught me something that isn't in any manual: most technical problems have an obvious technical solution. The hard part is getting the right person to understand it, approve it, and prioritize it.
That's why I trained in public speaking. That's why I direct theater. That's why I compete in Toastmasters. Technology without communication is noise. Communication without technology is smoke. I work at the point where they meet.
